Charade

CharadeThe wife of a murdered man is pursued by a group of men who want the fortune her husband stole.

This is a clever mixture of thrills, suspense, and humour. Lots of plot twists make it a great ride. Yes it is suspenseful, but it ‘s not the kind of movie to give nightmares.

So well made you’d think it was by Hitchcock.

VolcanoA volcano erupts in LA.

Plenty of action as the emergency services try to stop the river of lava. Suspend belief and take it as light entertainment.

Bedtime StoriesA handyman’s life changes when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to come true.

Yes it is full of ridiculous situations, but that is what Adam Sandler movies are all about. This one is family friendly yet still entertaining for adults.

ShrekA very funny comedy about an ogre on a quest to save his home.
This movie was even more popular amongst adults than children.

It has plenty of great jokes, silliness for the kids, and sarcastic humour for the adults.

Don’t treat it as an animated movie, treat it as the great comedy that it is.

This one seems a bit lacking compared to the first two, but if you liked them this is still worth watching.

A good family movie, if not as funny as the others.

The original Star Wars movie made. This is actually episode 4 in the story arc, but sits well on its own. One of the most popular movies ever made, it shouldn’t be missed.

Full of adventure, action, exciting battles, great story, and memorable lines. Very suitable for kids 5 and up, teenagers, and adults.

Episode 5 in the story. This is a bit more serious, but is still full of great adventure and fun situations.

Again suitable for the whole family.

The end is a set up for the next movie. It is best to watch all three (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi) one after the other.
