The fight between two opposing robot groups continues, one side supported by the US military.
Even more action than the first movie. Again plenty of great special effects, humour, action, and big battles.
The first Transformers is still the best, but this one is still very entertaining.
Kids again will love it, and most adults should enjoy it too. It is not a kids movie though, so parental guidance is probably best (not much blood, but plenty of violent action (robots versus humans) and some suggestive humour.

I almost didn’t watch this one because the original was so juvenile. This was so much better. Lots more action (and an interesting plot with great twists) which was more palatable to an older audience – the audience who grew up with the original transformers cartoon who is now in its 30s. This movie is very cool.
I had nearly the opposite view.
I really liked the first one because of the buildup story.
Number two was just action all the time.
To me it felt like the difference between the first seasons of the 80’s cartoons and the later seasons. There were too many new transformers, and not enough character.
