I really liked the first one because of the buildup story. Number two was just action all the time. To me it felt like the difference between the first seasons of the 80’s cartoons and the later seasons. There were too many new transformers, and not enough character. This was so much better. Lots more action (and an interesting plot with great twists) which was more palatable to an older audience - the audience who grew up with the original transformers cartoon who is now in its 30s.
