This movie gives light entertainment, nothing crude, and a satisfying ending. One of Keanu Reeves earlier movies. He plays a dumb teenager very well.

Pure Arnie action. Although the plot is very simple, Arnie satisfies by destroying the bad guys.
This is a veg out movie where you turn off your brain and see lots of explosions.

Pure action, fun, and satisfying.
Die Hard 1 and 4 are particularly great. These are the kinds of movies you can rely on if you want a movie that is full of action. Lots of great lines, explosions, gun fights.
Lots of dead bad guys, a fair bit of blood, and swearing (that fits the situation, not just swearing to make it over the top).
Not suitable for kids, but teens and adults will enjoy.

This movie has a great following and is great to watch if you want to reminisce about skipping classes at school and seeing how it should be done.
Minor swearing but otherwise a clean fun movie.

Probably the ultimate in treasure hunting adventure movies. They mix a bit of archaeology (not realistic I’m sure), with a great adventure story. Lots of action, humour, chases, and great stunts.
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost ark involves the search for the Ark of the Covenant.
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is the search for some missing magical Indian stones.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is about the search for the cup of Christ.

A great movie for kids, young teenagers, and many a child of the 80’s. This movie has humour, adventure, space battles, and for its time is very cool.

A series of movies about the exploits of new recruits at a police academy.
Not to be taken seriously at all. Plenty of slapstick humour, funny pranks, and lots of laughs. These movies are supposed to be silly, and certainly are.
The first movie in the series is the best, with each following one not quite as good as the previous movie.
Early ones are classic 80’s movies.
They are not family viewing (adult themes), but later ones have less adult stuff.
For a simple silly laugh with nothing too serious, these are a good choice.
